Its ruggedly constructed from our remarkable SCHWEGLER wood-concrete, an incredibly tough, long-lasting compound of 100% natural materials that has been specially formulated to ensure your nest box wont warp, rot, leak or need any kind of maintenance for decades. Since it is so durable, the 1B offers superb value. Warm and waterproof for winter roosting yet cool and comfortable for young chicks, the 1B Official Nest Box boasts a remarkable track record for bringing birds into your garden attracting as many as twice the number of occupiers as ordinary wooden boxes. The internal diameter of this nest box is 12 cm. It is usually attached to a tree using the SCHWEGLER Aluminum Nail (see Fig. 2). It can also be hung from a branch (see Fig. 3). The front panels, which can be bought separately, are interchangeable between model 1B, 2M and 2F, and can easily be removed from the nest box. Different entrance hole sizes are available to prevent birds from competing with one another for the boxes. All nest boxes are supplied with a hanger and the special SCHWEGLER Aluminium Nail.
